The galvanized foldable euro cages pallet is used both when loading the pallet and when storing or returning the empty frame. During storage and transport, the wire frame helps contain bulk or irregular cargo and reduce movement on the pallet. Once the goods have been removed, the empty frame can be folded down for storage or return transport. The fold-down structure allows the four wire side sections to collapse onto the pallet base. The folded frames can then be stacked together, taking up considerably less space than fully assembled units. For regional logistics networks, this high folding ratio is a practical feature for return transport, as a single vehicle can carry up to 30 folded units on a single pallet. The reusable frame can reduce the need for disposable wrapping in suitable applications and can be handled with suitable forklifts and warehouse equipment during storage and movement.

Application

Once the goods are contained, forklifts can stack the loaded units to use the vertical height of the warehouse, provided the loading conditions permit. Once the pallet has been emptied at the retail or distribution point, the operator releases the locking mechanism and folds the wire side sections inward. These flat frames are then stacked on top of each other on a single pallet base. The folded frames can then be moved by pallet truck and loaded for return transport. This compact arrangement reduces the vehicle space required for empty equipment and can make return transport more practical.
