Introduction
This steel wire mesh decking uses welded steel wire mesh with formed U-channel supports for pallet rack storage systems.
The decking rests directly on step beams to support cartons, damaged pallets, and loose inventory across the rack level.
Open mesh construction leaves visibility through the shelf level and allows sprinkler water to pass between rack tiers.
Different mesh spacing, wire diameters, and support channel quantities are available according to beam length and pallet loading requirements.
Powder-coated, galvanized, and zinc-finished surfaces are available for dry storage, cold storage, and general warehouse environments.

Steel mesh decking offers several advantages over solid decks. For one, wire decks allow for better airflow, which helps to keep stored items cool and prevents moisture build-up. Additionally, wire decks are much lighter than solid decks, making them easier to install and remove. And because they don't obscure the view of stored items, wire decks can help improve safety by allowing operators to quickly and easily spot potential hazards. Standard wire decks with U-step channel supports are the most common type of wire deck for pallet racking, as they are designed to fit on standard 1-5/8" step beams. Stepped wire decks are also available for use with beams that have non-standard step sizes.
