The wire frame allows loaded units to be stacked vertically while keeping the stored goods visible and accessible. This stacking wire steel cage pallet is made from Q235 mild steel, providing the load-bearing structure required for multi-layer storage. Once palletized goods are stacked, access to the lower units can become difficult. The front gate addresses this by allowing staff to pick goods from a selected unit while the cages above remain in place. The wire mesh structure transfers the vertical load through the cage structure to the base pallet, supporting the stacked units without relying on the wire mesh itself to carry the main load. Used on 1200x800mm pallet bases, this Stackable Retention Unit combines vertical storage with access to individual loads and can be handled with standard forklifts and compatible pallet racking equipment.

Half-Drop Gate Design: The hinged front gate allows staff to retrieve goods from a selected unit without first removing the cages stacked above it.

Open Wire Visibility: The 60x103mm mesh allows staff to identify stored goods from outside the cage without opening the unit.

Consistent Welded Joints: Automated welding at the wire intersections provides consistent connections across the frame and supports the side structure during loading and handling.

Different mesh openings, heights, and surface finishes are available according to the goods being stored and the stacking environment. For this stacking wire steel cage pallet, the frame height can be adjusted to suit specific rack clearances, while internal dividers can separate different SKUs within the same unit. A horizontal shelf can also be added when two levels of goods need to be stored inside one cage.

The process begins with goods loaded onto a standard Collapsible Metal Wire Pallet Collar and a wire frame secured around the load. The loaded stacking wire steel cage pallet is then moved by forklift to the storage area, where the operator places the next unit above it and aligns the base pallet with the frame below. This process is repeated to build the vertical stack. When goods are needed from a middle unit, staff can open the half-drop gate on that level and remove the required items without first taking down the cages above. Once a unit is empty, the frame can be removed or folded, depending on the model, and the pallet can be prepared for the next load.
