In European manufacturing facilities, storage becomes more difficult when materials are kept in different-sized units. The steel caged pallet uses a standard 1200 × 800 mm footprint to hold industrial parts, production inventory, and other warehouse materials. Once filled, the cage can be placed in a planned storage position, picked up by forklift, and moved to another working area without changing the basic handling method. The steel caged pallet follows the standard European pallet footprint used in many industrial warehouses. With dimensions of 1200 × 800 × 1200 mm and a loading capacity of up to 800 kg, it can be stacked up to four layers when the storage conditions are suitable. The Q235 mild steel structure keeps the cage stable during forklift handling and stacking, while the open wire mesh allows workers to check the stored parts without opening the cage. In a production warehouse, cages of the same size can be assigned to different storage locations, picked up from the floor, and moved through the facility using the same forklift handling method.

Runner bars can be configured according to forklift handling requirements, and reinforcing ribs can be added for heavier loads. For materials that require controlled access, locks or a half drop gate can be incorporated into the cage design.
Application
In European manufacturing plants, materials may move between receiving areas, component warehouses, production lines, inspection areas, and finished-goods storage. The steel caged pallet provides a common physical unit for these movements. For example, a cage of components can be unloaded in the receiving area, placed in a designated warehouse location, and later moved by forklift to the production line or inspection area. When the materials are transferred again, the cage remains the same. This makes it easier to maintain clear storage positions and handle different inventory types when production requirements or stock levels change.
